Braille Department


Braille Department on the ground floor of the library was launched by means of a donation by The Library of Congress, Division for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, in 1983. Braille Department provides reading material for visually impaired users in a variety of formats: Digital audiobooks, cassettes, recorded disks and braille prints.
Presently the print collection consists of approximately 2.000 materials written in the Braille alphabet. The collection of audio recordings which are on cassettes and computer files is constantly growing.
